VSC Minutes for 11/13/06

Treasure’s Report: It has been decided our minimum operating expenses are $2,800.00. 

checking: 5,707.47

savings: 20,020.84

total: 25,728.31

security deposit: 4,038.65

total assets: 30,790.51

A spread sheet for the last 10 months was distributed to the board members for referrence to income sources. That break down is not included here.

It was agreed that we would wait until March to see what our ongoing income will be. 

It was motioned seconded and passed to purchase non profit quick book for $300.00.

There was also discussion to have periodic independent audit checks.

Design Committee: DC will present board a proposal to be accepted or declined before it goes to the fund raising committee. If the DC has a project that impacts the facility, such as landscaping they must use the Facility Manager as a liasion to the owners for permission.

The reverse osmosis filter is too large for the office, we will gracefully decline.

Fund Raising committee: There is a plan to have a fund raising in January for improvements.

Facilities Manager: The Meeting with Elizabeth and Data, no lights in parking lot, no window security, and the door locks remain an issue. There should be action on these issues by end of the week. 

Event coordinator is Marylou, Volunteer coordinator is Val, there will be a meeting with Val, AnnZ, Mary Grace, and Bill to discuss coordination of volunteers. Marylou will take over the retreat.

Facility Manager’s review will be sometime at the end of February. Both Ann R and Alice will be reviewed. 

Alice off to Hawaii, call Ann R at 458 6441 if there are issues.

Programs: Wed evenings are dropped until January. Planning is begining for next year. 11/17 Bob’s weekly classes will begin. Gil Fronsdal will lead 11/30 evening sit. 12/3 wiill be a 1/2 day sit with different teachers. 12/7 will be lead by nuns, we will have tea before sit. 12/23 Jill and Bob will have a drop in sit. 12/31 Bob will have a new years sit. Sometime after the first of the year we will have an open house.
