The Insight Meditation Center of Redwood City, lead by Gil Fronsdal, has announced the purchase of a property for a new retreat center! The building sits on 2.8 beautifully landscaped acres in a quiet semi-rural residential area of Scotts Valley, less than a twenty minute drive from our center at 1010 Fair Avenue. The 20,000 square feet of buildings includes 16 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, 4,000 sq ft. of decking, a modular cottage, and over 6,000 sq. ft. of undeveloped space upstairs. Vipassana Santa Cruz welcomes this development so close to us, and we look forward to a deepened relationship with IMC, lots of collaboration as the center is readied, and opportunities for practice.
